What is ‘Bichooda’?
Brand Name
Bichooda is the new brand name for the external supervision service we offer.
Meaning
Bichooda (비추다) is a Korean word. It means to shine light on, to illuminate, or to reflect.
Bichooda captures what supervision means to me well. It’s about shedding light on our work, taking a moment to reflect, and finding clarity amidst everything we’re juggling.
What does supervision
mean to you?
Supervision means different things, to different people, at different times in their professional journey (Carroll, 2014).
For some people, supervision can be a torch which illuminates their work and help them see more clearly. It can also be a container where practitioners can feel safe and held. Some supervisees say “it’s like a playpen” where they can explore ideas, feelings, intuitions, hunches, and theories.
Supervision, for us, has never been just about oversight or ticking boxes. It’s about carving out a space where you can slow down, breathe, and really sit with your work.
What’s going well?
What’s weighing on you?
What’s lingering after the day ends? That’s why we named this service Bichooda.
Sometimes, we just need someone to sit beside us—not to fix things, but to ask the right questions, to listen, and to help us see our practice a little more clearly. As an external supervisor, we offer a fresh perspective and a calm, reflective space where you can feel genuinely heard and supported. Whether you’re feeling stuck, stretched thin, or simply wanting to grow, I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we’ll explore your work with honesty, curiosity, and care—so you can keep showing up with strength, purpose, and heart.
